Eve for Matter & HomeKit App Reviews

Connect Room with Thermo!

The biggest request: Connect Eve Rooms temperature with Eve Thermo! I spent a lot of money on both devices and they cant communicate, even tho there are in the same app? Also: Eve Energy needs a time schedule functionality so a lamp can turn on at a certain time. The app is ok, with lots of room for improvement tho. All the products work great and reliable!

AN ABSOLUTE PIECE OF JUNK

This app is for the use of its hardware units which are all absolute junk! I have the Eve Room Sensor, Eve Weather Station and Eve Door and Window Sensor. None of these consistently stay connected. In fact, they are more often disconnected than connected. I usually cannot get them to sync with my iPhone at all -- even the whole Siri thing just totally stopped working altogether a few weeks ago. An incredible waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS OR YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY YOU DID!!!

Works for me !!

I use the app with "Eve Room" only. Everything works well. Link is good. Data goes in every 10 minutes. App would be even better if we had the possibility to print weekly or monthly reports.

Doesnt work

Doesnt work anymore. Was using it with philips hue and was working great but it suddenly stopped working and its just telling me to check my connection, even though the philips hue app is working fine with the hub. Please fix

Cant pair Eve Room

Useless thing, i cant pair my eve room sensor to my iphone - app says "cannot connect..." Not recommended to buy.

Eve room broke on 9.3.2

Fix it

needs triggers but otherwise great

This app does everything I need it to. It show the temp on my eve sensors and allows me to adjust brightness of my nightlight. Supports all HomeKit devices and its free! Eve just needs to work on their devices (Bluetooth much slower than wifi).

Boom!

Great update! This app has so much potential and I hope to see further enhancements in the future. Thank You for this update.

Amazingly simple and direct

Setup was amazing in how crisp it is including automagically integrating via HomeKit. I am just starting out with an Eve Weather and after setting it up which took nearly 1 minute (the "difficult" part was realizing the batteries needed to be installed). As soon as it was enabled and I approved HomeKit which also required I use iCloud Keychain (I thought I had already enabled it months ago when I actives my new 6s+ at the time). Adding others to have access to Eve Weather was just as simple but honestly the logical thing is it Apple automatically enabled family members that I have via iCloud Family Sharing. Still it was simple enough. You can add/invite via the Eve app or via HomeKit in Settings. The whole thing is so wonderfully simple I feel like I must be missing something. Now Im lusting for either an Eve Room or perhaps even dumping my Nest Thermostat (v2) which seems like a dinosaur not having HomeKit and lacking features that EcoBee3 or other new HomeKit enabled thermostats have. I hoped I would be able enable triggers and conditions with Eve/HomeKit and its all super easy and accessible via the Eve app as its fully integrated with HomeKit.

Great App

I dont have any Elgato products (yet!) but this app works with my Hue lights and is much better than the app Hue offers. So easy to set up scenes and integrate multiple rooms. Very impressed!!

Eve Weather update

This now adjusts the air pressure from Eve Weather based on an elevation setting, which fixes my main complaint about it. Its a really nice device!

It has potential.

One problem I found is that it wont work without turning on iCloud keychain. I dont know why that is necessary. Another problem is that it doesnt say what is causing poor air quality. It usually says my air quality is excellent, but sometimes it goes all the way to poor, for no apparent reason. My Withings scale measures CO2, so I put it next to the Eve for comparison. The Withings CO2 level seems to remain constant.

Do you even test?

Actions vanish without notice. Eve cannot tell that it already successfully installed firmware upgrades and tries the same release # every time it runs. Do you bother to test this crap or do you think you are Microsoft and it is ok to release alpha software to the public?

Other langages...

Please if you want to sell your products, make your app un french... And multi-language. Tank you

This app is amazing!

I just love it, wether its to control my Eve Energy or my Philips Hue lights. My only wish? Make the "at a glance" section less laggy.

Disappointed

I bought the product wishing to be able to see my house temperature wherever I am, but the app updates only if you are near the product. And how do I change the format of the temperature?? This should be a simple thing, but I cant find it anywhere.

Disappointed

I bought this product few weeks ago and it is already broken. I used this to know outside temperature

Good but with annoyances

I’m using this with the Eve Weather device. In your home, you have to be pretty close to access the information—it works across about 1/2 to 2/3 of my house. However, you can access across the internet via an Apple TV. Weird that the Weather is “unreachable” in my house but accessible when far away! Accessing info from Eve Weather can be very slow. Often takes 4+ seconds to respond to Siri (“What is the temperature on my patio?”). The graphs take 20-30 seconds to retrieve data and update. The faint blue line that indicates progress is very subtle (easy to miss) and takes many seconds before _anything_ appears. Why can’t my iOS device update by itself every few hours (even just when phone is connected to power)? Another annoyance is the “…” icon that (is suppose to) lead to the detailed graphs. I have to tap repeatedly to get to those screens. Also, Homekit is supposed to be about home _automation_. There is no apparent way that any action could be triggered in the house based on Eve Weather data. iOS 9 is supposed to offer more Homekit features so I’ll update this if/when things change. On the plus side, the app works with Homekit-enabled accessories from other manufacturers.

it does everything!

scenes, service groups, zones!! and more! this app rules! a HomeKit must!
